Non-dental Teeth Whitening is performed in our Portland salon using proprietary DaVinci 100% natural whitening gels that are strong enough to give the results you want, yet gentle enough to provide a non-invasive comfortable teeth whitening experience, perfect for those with sensitive teeth. Our all natural whitening gels will permanently remove the stains from your teeth and return them to their natural color (the color you had at age three). We can't make you ‘rock star’ white unless you were born that way. Most people see significant whitening unless you are already at the whitest part of the scale.
You will be applying the whitening gel and other products yourself with our assistance. We are not Dentists and therefore not licensed to touch your mouth. That is why we call it non-dental whitening.
There is very little or no sensitivity with this treatment. Sensitivity is caused when the gel touches the gums. We will work with you to prevent this. Sometimes a bit of gel does touch the gums without causing any sensitivity. If this happens, your gum line may turn white for 10-20 minutes but then returns to normal.

2. Place the lip-retractor into your mouth to fully expose your teeth
3. Apply Vitamin E oil to your gums and lips (prevents drying while your mouth is open)
4. Paint on whitening gel with a specially designed brush. We will apply the gel to the brush and you will paint it on your teeth taking care not to get it on your gums. A thick even coat is best.
5. Sit back and relax while the blue LED light accelerates the process and whitens your teeth
6. After 20 minutes you will go to the sink and rinse, spit and REPEAT
7. We will then repeat the process two more times for a total of 60 minutes
8. After all three treatments we will determine the shade of your teeth and admire your new smile

PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT: We suggest that you eat before your appointment since it is best to refrain from eating for two hours after your whitening treatment. Do Not brush your teeth for 4 hours prior to the appointment.
After your whitening treatment we advise you not to drink or eat anything that is extremely hot or cold for two hours. Sensitivity is rare, but we do send you home with a tube of Sensodyne Toothpaste just in case.
